From Chords to Song Structure – Synthwave genre

Song Structure
Sometimes I open Hookpad and I start playing with some basic chords. When something sounds interesting I open Ableton Live 10 and rewrite those same chords. I layout them on the piano roll and invert some if necessary to make it sound nicer. This video shows up a little bit of that process and how I re-arrange the chords throughout the song. This one is a simple song but it fits within the genre and sound I was looking for.
I now enjoy making simple songs because in the past I started hundreds of songs to never finish them so I'm forcing myself to keep pushing forward and release often. I hope you enjoy it!
